The Gathering Cafe on Montair Avenue in Long Beach is a cozy neighborhood spot where crepes take center stage, woven into a quietly inviting atmosphere that draws in locals looking for a peaceful breakfast or a casual midday break. More than just a café, it blends a relaxed vibe with thoughtful touches—soft music, friendly greetings, and seating that includes a comfortable patio area which adds an airy, open feel to the experience.

This is a place where the unpretentious meets the carefully crafted. The menu balances savory and sweet options that lean into classic European creperie traditions while offering some local flair. Savory choices like the Chicken Marsala Crepe or the Medley Crepe are hearty without feeling heavy, while dessert crepes such as Crème Brûlée and Nutella provide a lightly indulgent finish. The butternut squash soup stands out as a comforting, seasonal addition that pairs well with the crepes, especially on cooler days.

Customers use The Gathering Cafe in a variety of ways—from a calm spot to catch up with friends over Thai iced tea and fresh fruit juice, to an easygoing place for a quick breakfast before running errands or waiting on the laundromat next door. Marteen knows what he is doing. I mean this in a good way! You need a no hassle relaxing cozy breakfast spot? This place is truly delightful. No frills, just good food at reasonable prices. They specialize more in the crepes, cakes, sandwich areas, but I do recommend this dish on the right in the pic... The butternut squash soup. Yum. Good low key spot. I recommend give it a try!

Lovely woman-owned cafe! The decor, the music, and ambiance is so soothing and calm! There is immediate warmth when you walk into this place, especially when you're greeted with then most sincere smiles. I stumbled upon this gem by accident going to the laundromat next door. Definitely recommend for a place to catch up with good friends, for business meetings, while waiting on the laundry machines, to study, or just a pleasant place to relax.

Simone is amazing….so friendly and welcoming, she really makes you feel at home. All the food was delicious! The pancakes (not pictured) were perfectly fluffy and flavorful. We also tried their new Ube crêpes, and they were incredible….just the right amount of sweetness, and the coconut flakes added a nice little crunch. The ambience is great too ….a cool, comfy spot with plenty of patio seating. I also love that they use alkaline water for their coffee….it tastes so much smoother and less acidic …..and even the water they serve is super refreshing. Overall, the staff is wonderful, and everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend!

I used to live nearby and barely came across this crepe cafe. Originally we were looking for a breakfast place and this popped up on Google. The cafe itself is very cozy (lives up to the name lol) and we were given a warm welcome by the staff. We ordered both the sweet and savory crepes and they were delicious! Wish I knew about it sooner but I'll definitely be back. Service, food, ambiance were great and I highly recommend to anyone with a crepe craving.

I’m in love with this place! The best breakfast I’ve had in years: their crepes and waffles are nothing short of perfection. The place has a cozy atmosphere and the service is outstanding. I can’t wait to come back and try another crepe combination

We had a great lunch today at The Gathering Cafe. I had the Arc de Triumph crepe and it was delicious, I would get it again. My mom had the Chicken Marsala which comes highly recommended, it was really delicious. The crepes are generous so I think two people could easily split, unless one person is very hungry. The Thai iced tea is also so good and refreshing.

I found this place while was looking for a cozy and warm brunch with a twist of savory Crepes , the place is literally makes you feel like home, cozy, warm and super friendly. The crepes are generous so I think two people could easily split, Simone gave me a heartily warm beet soup (The cafe’s treat) which was really good for the cold weather and we I have the basic breakfast crepes and went out to try the banana split crepes too, all were good and tasty , highly recommended if you’re around Long Beach
